Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

Your tests run in your browser. This page explains what Phone Test uses and what stays on your device.

Camera, microphone and device tests

Phone Test requests camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth or sensor access only when you start a relevant test. You can decline permission or choose Not supported. You can manage or revoke permissions in your browser or device settings.

Phone Test does not upload camera previews or microphone recordings to an application server. Previews and recordings are held in the browser and released when you leave their test. Refresh-rate and touch measurements also run locally.

Location and Bluetooth

The location test displays coordinates and the accuracy reported by your browser. Coordinates are not included in your downloaded report. The Bluetooth test displays the selected device name and attempts a connection; it does not read or write device service values. Bluetooth names are not included in reports.

What is saved in your browser

Test results
Results and observations are stored in session storage for this browser tab. They can survive a page reload. Browser session restoration may retain them.
Preferences
Your chosen language and theme are stored in local storage and may remain after you close the browser.
Reports
A report you download or print includes test outcomes, observations and browser information. Saved copies remain wherever you choose to save them and are under your control.

Restarting the checks resets the stored test results. Clearing this site's browser data removes its saved preferences and session data. It does not delete reports you have already saved elsewhere.

Hosting and third-party services

The Phone Test application does not load advertising, analytics trackers or external fonts. The hosting and sign-in services may process request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, and authentication data to deliver and protect the site. Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies.

Messages you send us

If you email us, your email provider and ours handle the message. We receive your address and the information you include so we can respond to your question. Do not send passwords, identity documents, private recordings or precise location information.
